SWoosh!!!, Berlin & Halle/Saale
competition entry: Shrinking Cities - Reinventing Urbanism, shortlisted, 2004

A dream can come true: cheap and comfortable living in the heart of the city; building and living in exceptional and luxurious circumstances at different times and in sometimes privileged places. ‚Schneller Wohnen‘ is applied lifestyle shaping and extending the scope of everyday urban life.

Temporary, recyclable housing allows short term, low density, low cost use of highly attractive sites in top urban locations. Liberated of the economic pressure, a light system of land use rights is postulated to allow the active adoption of urban space.

‚Schneller Wohnen‘ connects owners of underused land, whether public or private, with local authorities and ready made building manufacturers to enable a simplified procedure for temporary residential use of land in the city.
